Ballydoyle`s Cup team arrive

Aidan O`Brien`s strong Breeders` Cup raiding party were reported in fine shape today after their long trip from Ireland.

The team, which includes dual Derby winner Galileo and top sprinter Mozart, arrived at Belmont Park last night.

They are currently in the quarantine barn, well away from the Godolphin team which has been in New York for several days.

O`Brien, aiming for a first Breeders` Cup triumph after his near-miss with Giant`s Causeway last year, flew over with the horses.

And he said: 'They are fine. We all travelled together and they travelled good. They seem fine but we will know more in a day or two.'

Commenting on the earlier arrival of the Godolphin team, he said: 'It suited us to come on Monday or Tuesday - and Giant`s Cauesway came late last year.'

Galileo will miss a rematch with his Irish Champion Stakes conqueror Fantastic Light in Saturday`s Classic, in which Sakhee will instead represent Godolphin.

O`Brien was philosophical about the surprise move by Ballydoyle`s big rivals.

He said: 'That`s the way. We were happy to meet either.'
